70th Anniversary Reunion in Villars

It's the big kahuna—Aiglon's 70th Anniversary Alpine bash!

All alumni are invited to ‘soar like an Aiglon eagle' back to the mountains in Chesières next summer for the Aiglon 70th Anniversary celebration weekend—Friday 28 June to Tuesday 2 July, 2019. "We’re planning an enlightening morning of meditation, followed by competitions, a boat trip on Lac Léman, a tour of the Château de Chillon, a visit to Gruyère, an expedition at Solalex, a meal at Bretaye, and a Saturday evening gala with cocktails, dinner, and dancing," says Marcia Izant (Clairmont, 1971), Aiglon Alumni 70th Anniversary chairman. Come and share your stories with fellow alumni. If you would like to donate to the auction, (ahem, ahem) please contact marcia.izant@gmail.com.

Class of 1976 (& Friends) 40th Reunion

Class of 1976 (& Friends) 40th Reunion

To see your personal video invitation, click here and type in the password 'reunion' when prompted.

Is it possible that 1976 was forty years ago? Line Stump Magnin pulled out a calculator and did the math. She says numbers don't lie—although they can be fudged. So everybody who was at Aiglon during those halcyon days (whether actually in the class of '76 or not) is invited to a big bash on the Mountain next summer. People have been reserving their places on Line's Facebook page, under 'events': ('29 June to 03 July 2016   40th Reunion for Class of 1976'). There's also a reservation page on the Aiglon Life site.  Note that the first events are actually scheduled for the 30th, though most people (40 so far) are arriving the day before. Contact us if you haven't gotten a Facebook invitation or need more information.

Sandro Corsini posted this: "Most importantly I will again lead a group expedition from Col de la Croix to Bretaye and Lac Noire, over an alpine ridge which is one of my favorite walks in the world! The plan is to then meet with all for a picnic lunch, near the lake. Can't wait!"

So we'll need a few oxygen tanks, a guitar, and somebody who can do a passable impression of Julie Andrews singing Do-Re-Mi. Dust off your hiking boots and start learning the lyrics now. We'll see you in the Alps next summer!
